The City of Palo Alto’s Animal Control Officers respond to calls for service regarding stray, sick, injured, or fractious animals (including wildlife) in the cities of Palo Alto, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills. To report any of the following, contact the Palo Alto Police Department’s 24hr non-emergency dispatch at (650) 329-2413:
• Stray dogs
• Sick, injured, dead animals (including wildlife)
• Fractious animals
• Animal bites
• Animal cruelty or neglect
• Animals in distress
• Livestock or pet show permits
• Other municipal code violations (i.e. leash law reports)
