HELEN IS IN A FOSTER HOME. TO SET UP A VISIT, PLEASE EMAIL vhidden@petsinneed.org

Helen and her siblings came to our shelter as itty bitty stray kittens weighing no more than 7 ounces. After a few weeks in their foster home, it became apparent that they have “CH”. CH stands for Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a brain condition that can be congenital or can develop in very young kittens due to environmental causes. Although it sounds scary, CH is a very manageable condition and does not worsen with age or time. Of the 3 siblings, Helen has the most severe case. She can’t hold herself upright, so she gets around by slithering, a bit like a snake! It’s quite cute to watch. Helen can eat on her own and she knows to use the litter box but does need some help getting in and out of it. She will need special care for the rest of her life but you will be rewarded with all her love. If you have space in your heart and your home to take on a special needs kitten, Helen is the one for you!
