How does a 14-year-old cat wind up in a shelter? We’re glad you asked. It’s often the case that an owner dies, and no one is able to take their beloved pet. This is a double-loss for the animal. One day everything is fine. The next, they lose their best friend and their home. That’s what happened to Angie.

Under the circumstances, this velvet lap napper is doing exceptionally well. She greets everyone with bright eyes and a friendly chirp, and head butts her close friends for scratches. None of us knows how many years we have ahead of us, and the same is true for Angie. If you have room in your heart and your home for her, you would be a special kind of hero.
