TAU Memorial Fund
Contributions made to the TAU Memorial Fund will cover fees associated to our youth programs for low-income children, providing those children with the opportunity to learn about and cultivate a love for animals.
The TAU Memorial Fund was established in January 2019 as a tribute to Tarak Andrew Underiner, a young man with a lifelong love of dogs who was taken too soon.
Throughout his life, Tarak’s love of dogs and companion animals was evident. He got his first dog, a beagle mix named Ace (shown) when he was in 5th grade. In college, he shared a pit-bull mix, Nikolai, with his girlfriend. He even loaned money to a friend who couldn’t afford knee surgery for his aging Labrador. Later, he became the long-term custodian to Saphira, a beautiful husky whose owner wasn’t permitted to keep a dog in her campus apartment.
This fund was created in memory of Tarak by Dr. Eric Marshall, a close family friend. With the help of generous donors, it will provide funds for camp scholarships, shadowing programs , school visits, educational birthday parties, and other worthwhile activities.
When you donate to TAU Memorial Fund, you will provide a low-income child with an unforgettable, educational experience that will instill an enduring love for animals.
