Meet Courage, the dog who discovered his inner superstar! When he first arrived, Courage was a bit shy, but those days are long gone. Now he’s a confident, happy guy who thinks everyone is his friend—because, well, they are! He loves playgroup time with other dogs, struts proudly on his walks, and makes it his personal mission to say hello to every person in the lobby.
Volunteers love how fun and easy he is to walk, and when it’s playtime, you’ll find Courage happily rummaging through the toy bin to choose his favorites. Looking for a cheerful, social companion? Courage is ready to meet you!

Come meet me at the shelter during open hours, no appointment needed! Our Palo Alto location is open from 12:30pm - 6:00pm every day. Our Redwood City location is open Thursday - Saturday, 12:30pm - 6:00pm.
Adoptions are first come, first serve. Adopters must be over 18 years old and have a valid ID.
All dogs have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. For most dogs, we do not know their breed as we don’t do DNA tests, but we do know their personalities and are happy to tell you about them!
