Gabby has a scholarship for two free training sessions with a certified professional dog trainer at Underdog Academy.

Gabby is a very sweet but nervous pup. She’s curious about those around her and will circle you a few times before approaching you for a delicious morsel. Gabby is the type of gal to kick back and see what everyone is up to from a distance. Throughout her time with us, she is showing sparks of her personality that continue to charm us in the best of ways. She would do best with another confident resident dog similar in size to make her feel at home. Gabby would thrive in a calm and quiet environment with a predictable routine. Maybe even a comfy couch or two that she could perch on and curl up to claim as her own. Visit us today to learn more.

Here’s what her foster has to say:

She is super sweet, well-behaved most of the time, very playful. She can be on her own and mostly be independent without issue (she will just nap, etc. doesn't cry or bark)…
It will definitely take time for her to warm up but she is not a high maintenance dog. It will be best if she has another dog around as that gives her a lot more confidence…She absolutely loves toys and treats and she loves playing with my dog.”

UPDATE from foster parent 09/06/23:

"Gabby is very sweet and affectionate once she is comfortable (which can take a bit of time) with someone. She loves to snuggle and dig her nose into you to get pets. She is getting more confident and outgoing every day…Gabby is still fearful of people but does well when they do not get super close to her…Gabby loves most treats and toys and is food motivated. She loves playing with toys on her own or with my dog. They play several times throughout the day, she is learning to love walks…She is capable of being very affectionate and playful with people. She would make a great dog friend to an existing dog owner and is super playful. Overall she is pretty low maintenance as she is a small dog and she can take direction well…Having another dog would be great. Probably good to have a quiet household where she can comfortable slowly and ease into her relationship with her new owner(s).”
