About Kate
Estimated age: 12 weeks
Gender: Female
Size: 18 lbs. (still growing)
Location: Redwood City
Here’s what Kate’s previous foster had to say about her:
What can I say about Kate? She has to be one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met.
Personality: Kate is very sweet and loves all people and all dogs. She loves to cuddle with both her people and with the other dogs. She has stayed with us for about 2.5 weeks and she really likes to play and follow/mimic our lab. Ultimately, she follows her wherever she goes which can be straight to the crate for a nap. She is just a love and is pretty much always there to kiss and cuddle with you.
She will just jump up on the couch or bed to snuggle. If she isn’t allowed up on the couch, my husband, she will rest her head on your knee looking for scratches. On a hike she will run up to greet any person she finds. She is interested in all kids, all adults and pretty much all dogs. Regarding other dogs, she likes to play chase and does a lot of wrestling. She would love to live with another dog or make regular visits to a dog park as she really just wants to play.
She’s an extremely happy dog that will add an immense amount of love to any house. She is probably one of the friendliest dogs I’ve come across. I’ve really enjoyed watching the relationship she has with both my kids. My 16-year-old son plays a bit rougher with her, and my 13-year-old son is much sweeter with her and she just goes to him for pets and cuddles.
Potty Training and Crate: At our home she sleeps in a crate overnight. She’s done really well on her potty training too.
Leash: If she is just out walking along she is pretty happy to sniff around and walks pretty calmly.
Toys: She loves toys! She is pretty good at playing fetch so hopefully someone is willing to throw a ball for her. And she is still in a teething stage so some hard plastic bones or real chews are great for her. And any toy that squeaks is enjoyable.
