Meet Metta, a bundle of joy looking for her forever home. Affectionately known as "Metta the lover," she's a playful pup who entertains herself with a red ball or tennis ball, showcasing her independent spirit. In her previous owner's care, Metta became a sensitive and affectionate dog, responding to the guiding principle of "metta," a term meaning loving-kindness in Pali, in every interaction. A star pupil in training, Metta has mastered commands like sit, down, heel, leave it, drop it, wait, and come, all while responding well to treats.
It's worth mentioning that Metta, despite being a loving companion, exhibits certain behaviors that prospective adopters may want to consider. She has a keen interest in observing small animals, showcasing a high prey drive. Metta can be playful and enthusiastic, occasionally displaying exuberant jumping. In her previous foster home, she demonstrated a strong sense of independence, particularly with a penchant for exploring and interacting with her surroundings, leading to the recommendation of crating her during alone times.
Additionally, Metta may be initially wary of strangers and might take some time to warm up. This cautious approach is a part of her unique personality.
