Wick
About Wick
Estimated age: 6 Years
Gender: Male
Size: 96 lbs.
Location: Palo Alto
Wick is a 90 plus pound sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger need for love. This loyal, affectionate boy is everything you could want in a companion, but right now, Wick is overwhelmed in the shelter. The noise, the chaos, and the constant change are hard on him and it’s clear he’s meant to be in a home, not a kennel. What he really needs is a calm, loving environment where he can decompress, feel safe, and be the happy, loyal dog we know he is.
Despite his current stress, Wick still leans into affection and craves connection. He loves quiet walks, soft beds, and being near his people. He’s house-trained, neutered, and knows basic commands. He gets along with some dogs and would do best in a home with patient humans who understand large-breed dogs and can give him time to adjust.
Wick doesn’t need much—just stability, kindness, and a little space to stretch out. In return, he’ll offer you unmatched loyalty, quiet companionship, and a heart full of gratitude. Please consider opening your heart and home to Wick. Whether through adoption or foster, helping him out of the shelter could be life-changing—for both of you.
History
Wick was surrendered to Pets In Need when his owner could no longer care for him.
