About Ariel

Estimated age: Adult
Gender: Female
Size: 6.8 Lbs
Location: Foster

New year, new name? You bet! I might look familiar, as I came into the shelter with the name Honeybun…but my foster family has started to call me Ariel, because like the Disney princess of legend…I want to be where the people are!

When I came into foster I was shy, reserved, and had brownish stains in my fur. YOU try raising a litter of babies in a shelter environment and staying perfectly clean! As I relaxed and unwound, I discovered that people are pretty fun and not scary after all!

My foster family has a toddler who I LOVE, as she always brings me treats to eat. They also have a dog and a cat who I ignore completely. I will follow people around, licking and nibbling at shoes until I get attention, and if you’re hanging out near me while doing something else I might stomp my feet to get your attention!

Being lifted up is still not my favorite thing, but I love pets and can be gently set into a lap for a good cuddle. And I finally got all those stains out of my beautiful coat so you can enjoy my soft, cloud-colored fur all day long!

History
Ariel was found as a stray before being brought in to Pets in Need.
